Columbus, OH: Today, Racksquared Data Centers, a full-service data center headquartered in Columbus Ohio, announced that they are opening new data center space in Louisville, Kentucky. As a significant player in the iSeries cloud hosting market, growth and increasing demand drove the need for an additional location with more space. This expansion is a major move for Racksquared in their mission to provide secure, reliable, and resilient data center space and managed IT solutions to companies of all sizes. Racksquared’s new space will officially open early in Q2 2024.

Of the company’s expansion to Louisville, Kentucky, Racksquared President and CEO Brad Wasserstrom said, “Over the last 10 years, our business has experienced tremendous growth resulting in the need to expand our data center space. We made the decision that rather than grow our existing space, we would expand to a larger space that not only gives us room to grow but also provides our customers with greater geographic diversity between their production and disaster recovery systems. I am excited to enter the Louisville market and give businesses of all sizes a new option for a data center service provider.”

This expansion is being driven by numerous market trends including:

  1. Continued growth in the adoption and demand for fully managed cloud hosting solutions for IBM Power servers running iSeries, AIX, and Linux.
  2. Increased frequency of ransomware attacks, driving companies to seek cloud-based backup solutions to provide offsite immutable storage for data backups.
  3. The high cost of business downtime related to IT outages creates a requirement for disaster recovery solutions that reduce the time to recovery, lost data, and cost of recovery.

“Business resiliency continues to be top of mind for IT professionals. Whether business downtime is caused by human error, cyber threat or natural disaster, companies require solutions that will allow them to recover quickly. We are thrilled to be entering the Louisville market and offering services to local businesses while also enhancing solutions for our existing customers.” said Jason Hardy, Vice President and General Manager of Racksquared.
